GREAT FALLS, Mont., July 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Montana Renewables, LLC (MRL) is proud to have collaborated with Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. and its partners as the exclusive fuel supplier for recent low emissions testing on the Gulfstream G800 aircraft. MRL provided MaxSAF® to fuel the aircraft and Washington State University performed fuel property characterization in preparation for the flight.

Through this testing, Gulfstream became the first business aviation company to successfully complete a high-altitude flight test campaign demonstrating the potential for 100% neat SAF to reduce contrail-forming particle emissions at altitudes up to 50,000 feet. This campaign was designed to isolate how fuel composition influences non-CO₂ emissions, and compared conventional Jet-A, low-sulfur Jet-A and neat hydroprocessed esters and fatty acids (HEFA) SAF, which contains no sulfur or aromatics. Preliminary results suggest a significant measurable reduction in the particulate emissions that contribute to contrail formation when operating on neat SAF.

Agreement signals ongoing growth of Sustainable Aviation Fuel market

GREAT FALLS, Mont. and BOSTON, Feb. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Montana Renewables, LLC (MRL) and World Energy Clean Fuels LLC (World Energy) today announced a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) agreement that will deliver more than 70 million gallons of SAF to the market over three years, reducing as much as 600,000 MT of CO2 emissions while strengthening the American economy, supporting the agricultural community, and bolstering domestic energy independence. MRL is an unrestricted subsidiary of Calumet, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLMT).

This collaboration combines the strengths of each company to move the American SAF industry forward at a pivotal moment. MRL is one of the largest SAF producers in North America and is set to significantly increase SAF production capacity with its MaxSAF™ 150 expansion.

GREAT FALLS, Mont., Oct. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Montana Renewables (MRL), in collaboration with Calumet Montana Refining (CMR), has commissioned onsite blending and shipping facilities to offer a nominal 50/50 blend of renewable and fossil jet fuel certified under ASTM D7566 and ASTM D1655 specifications.

This finished product is drop-in compatible with all existing systems and will initially be distributed through AEG Fuels’ network to select aviation hubs in Montana, Washington, and Oregon.
